who require more than 5 hours support a week, up to 24 hour support with
1:1 intensive support in the community These houses
have intensive staffing ratios (generally 1:1) and are staffed 24 hours
a day to meet the safety needs of the people we support. People living in these
houses receive comprehensive support from staff trained in working with
people with challenging behaviours. Staff work alongside the people we support, and where-ever possible, encourage them to be more independent. [ ^top ] for people
who have a mild to moderate disability and who may require an environment
where risk for the individual or the community has to be minimised [ ^top ] for people
who have a mild intellectual disability [ ^top ] for women
who would like to learn to live independently This service has been set up in a house that provides two single bedrooms in the upstairs area and two flats downstairs. The downstairs flats are made up of a bedroom and a living room area with a kitchenette. Both flats share the downstairs toilet and shower. The whole house shares the laundry. This service is staffed 24 hours a day, with at least on, but for some periods during the day, two staff on duty. All staff employed in this particular service are women and are trained in working with people with intellectual disabilities who may also have challenging behaviours. [ ^top ] for people
