core and cluster
A "core and cluster" environment is one of the community living options the CCT offers the people we support. This service is essentially a group of flats located very closely to an office that is staffed 24 hours a day (ie: the flats are "clustered" around the office -- the "core", hence "core and cluster"). An environment where people are not "put down" or punished, instead they are encouraged throughout the learning process.

positive programming
Positive programming is a method of teaching someone skills that will empower them to cope better with situations that they have struggled with in the past. Positive programming's aim is to teach people to be as independent as they possibly can, and it enables people to live more fully in the community.

A staff member of the Community Care Trust who is trained to work with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorders.
